Duplicate of #3384 #5059 - refer to these for existing discussion that was closed, while users were still asking for the feature.
Didn't want this to get overlooked since there is currently no open issue for this.
This issue serves as an open thread on this discussion.
Hi, this issue is not being overlooked. we are working on the solution already that's why the existing issues marked close.:)
@junlincc thanks for the notice, but wouldnt it be much better to close an issue AFTER it has been solved, not during? :) at least this keeps watchers updated on the current status of an issue.
Any time frame for this feature
Horizontal bar charts are essential, see

Pinging stale bot to keep the issue open. Coming to Superset from other BI software, this was a feature I miss and am glad to see it's a work in progress!
EDIT: Holy cow do I see that a horizontal bar chart pull request was merged in literally today? Amazing
This feature is present in 2.0.0, I use it on my dashboards. It was noted in the release notes for 2.0.0: https://preset.io/blog/apache-superset-2-0-release-notes/.
