Client Libraries

Open adi-ads opened this issue 10 years ago • 5 comments

Have a feeling these two libraries will work with connect out of the box -

Android https://github.com/rheinfabrik/Heimdall.droid

iOS https://github.com/rheinfabrik/Heimdall.swift

If someone can test and verify it then will add it to the supported client libraries section.

We should put together an official list somewhere of languages/platforms/software we'd like to support along with a list of prospective libraries for them and put out a call for contributors to test and verify.

We're planning to set up a sandbox somewhere for devs to play with before they even set up their own Connect instance. That should make it even easier for people to help out.

Sounds good, would suggest to just have a single list, under client libraries https://github.com/anvilresearch/connect-docs/blob/master/clients.md

Maybe grey them out or something to show support unknown

@adi-ads To keep things modular, I created Augment.md. It's a list of anything that people want support added for or might fit well with Connect. If you have any ideas, feel free to update it!

My thinking is - if we have followed the spec correctly and a client library follows the spec correctly as well there is no reason they won't work together and thus no need for client library specific support.

If a client library doesn't work with connect its either a bug in our server or the client library which should reported accordingly.

Just wanted to make sure we are all on the same page regarding that but otherwise fine with keeping the list in augment.md :)
