Does NDK AMidi API support MIDI 2.0?

Hello, I would like to ask if AMidi API works with MIDI 2.0 and if there is an example for that (UMP).

Do I need a recent linux-kernel for it to work? I got an Android device running Custom ROM (Lineage os 20.1) but an outdated custom kernel. Thanks.
