It has first class Go bindings as I actually use it from Go. This is off topic to this repo, so I'll email you directly.

This addresses https://github.com/micropython/micropython-lib/pull/902. I had an approach where I set flags in various `open` locations, but this is probably much better. Good PR.

The contracts-bedrock-tests failure is unrelated I think... This is ready for review.
