algod runs out of memory

When I bootstrap my node, algod runs out of memory after around 45 minutes. The server has 4½ GiB of memory. Either 4½ GiB of memory is simply not enough, or there is a memory leak in algod? My guess is the latter, because my experience from when I last bootstrapped my node is that after some restarts, the system will eventually get into a quieter state and run continously. The blue graph shows memory usage for the (sole) algod process, while the green graph shows total memory usage of the server, while The graphs start before my re-bootstrap (when algod was running in a state where it had caught up and had been running for a couple of days without issues). algod-err.log last_200_lines-node.log
