Maybe I'm mistaken here but [Focalboard is also integrated in Mattermost since version v5.36](https://www.focalboard.com/blog/mattermost-focalboard-release/) and [Mattermost is able to use LDAP](https://docs.mattermost.com/onboard/ad-ldap.html) (_or [SSH via GitLab](https://docs.mattermost.com/onboard/sso-gitlab.html) if you're running GitLab, too_)....

Or are you using a mobile device? Because if you forgot to babysit the sync and your phone went into screensaver then it might lead to the sync being killed...

What happens if you don't babysit a sync and the app is killed during a write? Is writing atomic and within a transaction so that a half-written record is safe...
