High VRAM usage with standard settings on A100 40GB VRAM

When trying Disco Diffusion on Colab Pro Plus with A100 I'd like to render higher resolutions but PyTorch is always taking a huge amount of VRAM, about 16GB just by itself. Is there any solution for avoiding this?

How high of resolution are we talking and you are just using the default models?
