Create a plug-in for shape analysis
Here's the starting point:
https://github.com/quantumjot/vne
@quantumjot @scotthosking - just wondering if the linked repo already does what you wanted here or whether you can add some clarity to this issue?
Possibly related to #71
@quantumjot and @sebastianahnert are better placed to comment, but my guess is that we need to map this idea out more. Maybe we should put aside a co-working session just for this?
Agree with @scotthosking - this is more of an 'aspirational' issue - it might be fun to think about what we might want from this for our current projects. The VNE library linked above is already set up to work as a scivision plugin, and we can modify the config as this project evolves. I suggest we close this issue for now.
@edwardchalstrey1 - #71 is related in that the VNE library can generate synthetic data, but #71 is more general as it relates to how we might ingest data to scivision.
Here is the follow-up repo for our work, based on the arXiv pre-print: https://github.com/alan-turing-institute/affinity-vae
We could consider making this a scivison plugin.
