Formatting does not work with first token of the footnote

Formatting does work immediate after the footnote marker [^x]: but works after first word.

[^1]: **this bold does not work**
[^2]:  This **bold will work**

This is an inherent issue with Obsidian's Live Preview Mode and has nothing to do with this plugin. If you switch to Reading Mode, the formatting should work again.
