That shouldn't be too hard to implement. The indexer already indexes non .java files in root folders: https://github.com/ajermakovics/eclipse-instasearch/blob/master/instasearch/src/it/unibz/instasearch/indexing/WorkspaceIndexerJDT.java#L131 but does not look for other resources in packages.
