document release process

We need to better document the process of releasing new versions or updates - and maybe find an elegant way to automate that!

The TravisCI build is currently publishing the plugin when building a tag. So you should only need to tag a version to release it.

Pat, thanx A LOT for your comment. I'll include that in the documentation (which we'll overhaul as we present the whole project as an example on a developer conference in November...).
