Connector stops working when database connection is closed

Since there is only one database connection created per connector, it stops working when connection is closed.

I'm new to Kafka setup. can you please share me the list of steps you followed to setup Kafa with MySQL as source. can you please send me documents steps to my mail id [email protected]. Please consider my plea.
