Video formats supported in Asset share portal detail page

What are the video formats playable in asset share commons video components?

  • Video formats such as avi, wmp are not playing in asset share commons detail page.
  • Could you please confirm which are the video formats supported by asset share commons.

The video component uses the native browser video player <video..> so whatever your browser supports - ASC doesnt have any "native" playback support of its own. You can, of course, always create your own Video component that uses whatever fancy play/config you need.

Also, i do recommend the Preview videos be a lower res/bit rate/whatever to help stream the file. If you are streaming a native long-play 4K high-bitrate file from AEM, you probably are going to have problems getting playback; better to generate a small preview rendition.
