Asset share commons1.6.8 with AEM6.4 facing error in Download assets

Describe the bug Assetshare commons with AEM download assets getting error as "Context Hub is not defined". Environment

  • AEM Version: 6.4
  • Asset Share Commons Version: 1.6.8
  • Author, Publish or both: both

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Login to AEM instance.
  2. Open the site page.
  3. Click on download for any assets.
  4. Getting error message while clicking on download "ContextHub is not defined."

Expected behavior The asset should be downloaded. Screenshots If applicable, add screenshots to help explain your problem.

Hi @assetshare2018, the Download and cart functionality relies on ContextHub to store the asset paths, this is configured at the page properties level as part of the cloud services, i.e: https://github.com/Adobe-Marketing-Cloud/asset-share-commons/blob/develop/ui.content/src/main/content/jcr_root/content/asset-share-commons/en/.content.xml#L6

Do you see any 404s in the network activity? Any other console messages?

Also, do you see this error using the sample content pages, i.e: /content/asset-share-commons/en/light.html? Or is this using custom pages?

@assetshare2018 have you made sure to apply the ContextHub configuration @godanny86 notes above, to your asset share Sites tree?

We had the same problem and it had to do with needing to change the sling resource type on the contexthub for 6.4 per this article: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2590816
