show the output of: `pacman --color=never --deptest 'r>=3.0.0' 'r-backports>=1.1.0'` btw are you sure you're not using any third-party repos or doing anything else weird which is worth mentioning?

as far as i can see from the log, the only problematic place is here: ``` => pacman --color=never --deptest r>=3.0.0 r-backports>=1.1.0 => pacman --color=never --deptest gcc :: Installing repository...

do you mean you edited pkgbuild of exactly that package, which pikaur mistakenly thinks is belonging to the repo? or its dependency/parent package?

i see - it seems for some reason it's treating such package as already built - i'll try check it soon, but if you familiar with python you can already...

and what if user wants to do both?

ok, your proposed workflow sounds well except for missing/undefined one detail: currently "view diff' question have default answer Y or N depending if package with that diff was already built...
