Overview

WayFinder is an indoor navigation application that indicates the user the direction and route by the AR footprint. The method developed can apply in any buildings with a blueprint, such as an airport, mall, and parking lot.

• mapbox - indoor map
• ARCore - image recognition, motion tracking, and footprint indicator

Demo

Choosing the destination on the main page and finding the specific picture as a starting point, then beginning the navigation. Afterward, The route will be calculated out and displayed as a series of AR footprints. Finally, following the footprints to the destination.

Issue

• The route or the AR footprint would be affected by environmental light source
• The bluprint does not exactly match the real building
