2.91 + bridge 2020.4.2 cannot import anything

Open aeon3 opened this issue 4 years ago • 3 comments

Hey!

I have a fresh installation of blenderoctane 2020.1.5 -22.2 + latest bridge 2020.4.2 and octanehelper 2.7.7 is not importing models or textures from bridge.

Nothing shows up in the console as well.

Any thoughts on how to solve this?

Hi. To successfully capture assets sent from the Bridge, make sure: There is no MSPlugin(official quixel add-on) in user folder. Seealso QA in the repository Turn on the Octane Helper addon Switch on Octane engine in OC Blender

I wish this can solve your issues

Hey! Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately deleting the user folder made no difference. I keep my blender builds separate by portable folders and each folder has its own config. Not sure if that matters but there should be no conflict.

Again the console is clean, it is as if blender was not even communicating with bridge. Should I put a specific port number in Bridge maybe? Im using 28888

Also just to confirm, it works smoothly with octane 22.2 + bridge 2020.4.2 on your end?

Hi, I just confirmed that it works properly on my machine (Bridge 2020.4.2 + Newest OC Blender) 1 Have u tried the following?

  1. Click on the settings icon next to the export button in Bridge
  2. Select Export Settings
  3. Switch it to Blender mode
  4. If it shows "Install addon" before you can use it, click on "Install addon"(It puts an official addon to the user folder, see also Q/A in my repository). If it does, move to the user folder and find the MSPlugin directories and delete them
  5. Restart Blender and everything should work Let me know if you have any question
