Memex dead?
Following. I was going to record a bug, but now I'm concerned for the health of the project

No commits in 6 months, I moved to Raindrop.io and it's been great.
Oooh, Raindrop does look pretty good. Thanks for mentioning 🙂
It's sad everytime when nice Open Source project come to a stall. What's even more concerning though is when the maintainer(s) make it an orphan without any hint. One could at least mark it as orphaned...
It's sad, I am a "lifetime supporter", but even on personal mails, I got no replies from them. I mostly liked the AI integration, which is what I used most. Time to try to export all data and move on.
Sorry folks, I rarely check Github issues and have been a bit underwater lately.
We're not abandoning Memex - still using it daily, we just haven't been adding much beyond maintenance in the past few months. But we just got a bit of funding to work on it again.
Also sorry I missed your emails @mnott - checking and replying right away.
Following issue. I like Memex. I had a sync bug for like 6-8 months for which they were slow to fix, so I stopped using it. Seems they've finally fixed it. But has eroded my trust in the product.
I like Raindrop - permanent page saves.
They've made 3 bug fixes releases since 2024. I hope they can secure an income - though, it seems they've completely removed the free tier - trial only and then a paid plan. This lost time being stalled will make it harder to catch up with competition. Just check the feature/bug section on Featurebase, it's empty (no one reaching out to Memex team). Not looking great, which is a shame.
Is it intentional that 3 free daily saved pages are no longer refreshed? In other words, is the free option gone? Tried asking in the in-app support, but no response.
@blackforestboi I hope you're alright. I know you said Memex is not abandoned, but getmemex.com is a 404, and community.worldbrain.io is gated behind basic auth, breaking the blogpost linked in the ReadMe, along with untold other important information. As someone who just now discovered Memex, my first impression is that it sure seems abandoned. But I hope I'm wrong about that, and I hope all is well with you.
