• the green highlight color is really hard for me to read when it's highlighting black text
  • FWIW: I do not experience color-blindness and my vision is 20/20 with glasses. high res monitor etc. I think it is a contrast issue but I'm forgetting the technical/actionable keywords about this
  • FWIW: Others have asked me to change the highlight color in screenshots, when I've sent screenshots that had Memex highlights
• for the sake of UX, it should be customizable, to at least a 2nd option like yellow. (Or to be less opaque.)
  • I'm not suggesting any option for adding complexity to highlighting, like custom persistent colors. I think this is somewhat "urgent" to the extent that Memex wants wider adoption of the browser extension... this issue caused me to give up on Memex 2 times so far, but I am coming back because this is exactly what I want!
• for the sake of Accessibility, the default color should not be the current color. (Maybe less dark?)

This is indeed important to get right and difficult to get right automatically. There was already a fix contributed that made things more readable, but the problem is that we don't have an overview of all possible color combination. @blackforestboi would be great if we could find a sustainable solution that is as simple as possible, because this is an important part of our product.
