Testers Wanted: Release v3.2.0-pre.1

Open WillCodeForCats opened this issue 2 months ago • 6 comments

For Release v3.2.0-pre.1 I've removed locking calls within the integration because the pymodbus module has its own transaction manager locking, which should make ours unnecessary.

If you are able to test Release v3.2.0-pre.1 please report if you have any trouble to this issue, especially from anyone who uses commands since my inverters don't support commands, so I'm not able to test that part with real inverters.

This also removes support for pymodbus 3.7.x and older, and Home Assistant 2025.1.0 and older. Minimum requirements are pymodbus 3.8.3 and Home Assistant 2025.2.0.

Installed it and initially seems to be working so far. I will report any issues I'll encounter in the next few days.

Still no issues.

I had to up the modbus timeout to 10 seconds but I'm accounting that to the 4.23.36 update Solaredge provided (haven't tested 4.24.9 so far as I currently have a case open with them via my installer due to weird charge/discharge issues with my dual battery leader/follower setup that sometimes occur after counter resets).

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I've been running it without any issues as well, so I think it's safe to merge it into a release.
