load image batch error "TypeError: 'NoneType' object "is not subscriptable

I was using was load image batch on incremental with no issues for quite some time to load a folder of inpainting candidates in order to create multiple variants. It was very effective however something has broke it recently and whenever batch node is connected, even in single image mode, i get the error in the TItle.. Any thoughts?
