Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

I can't log back in to desktop mode after resuming from sleep.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Sleep
  2. Resume
  3. Error Message The screen locker is broken and unlocking is not possible anymore. In order to unlock switch to a virtual terminal (e.g. Ctrl+Alt+F1), log in an execute the command etc.

I can unlock it just fine (using an external keyboard), what are the exact steps you're following to lock the screen, put the device to sleep, etc?

You haven't understood the error message listed in point 3. The lack of a virtual keyboard is a different issue which also needs resolving. I didn't even get a login screen. Just the large error message. To lock the screen, I simply walk away and wait for it to time out. btw if you google the error message it is a relatively common problem on other distros too.

I'll try to be more detailed. I went to the desktop, opened the System Settings and changed this:

  • Workspace Behavior -> Screen Locking -> Lock screen automatically after 3 minutes
  • Power Management -> Energy Saving -> Suspend Session -> Automatically sleep after 5 minutes

After that the screen got locked after 3 minutes, and 2 minutes later the deck went to sleep.

I press the power button, the deck comes back from sleep, the lock screen is still there but I can unlock it just fine (using an external keyboard).
