2 Controllers For Each Hand Showing Up

Open tpitman opened this issue 5 years ago • 2 comments

I just created a new project in 2019.4 LTS that I just installed yesterday.

I followed the instructions to get the EditorXR working with the legacy support. I am using an Oculus Quest 2 and the Virtual Desktop SteamVR implementation. I couldn't get the Oculus version to work with Virtual Desktop. I do not have a link cable.

The issue I am seeing is once I get into EditorXR in SteamVR I am seeing 2 controllers in each hand. They are offset by about 20 degrees. One of them seems to work in each hand, but it looks really weird.

Huh! This is interesting. I haven't tried this specific setup, but it seems like we are getting input through both systems. Are you seeing a Vive wand and an Oculus touch in each hand, or two oculus touch controllers? Or something else?

I'll see if I can test this setup locally and reproduce what you're seeing.

Thanks for reporting!

I am seeing 2 oculus controllers in each hand.

Should I just remove the Oculus plugin and leave the OpenVR maybe? I thought the Oculus was required, but know that OpenVR is what SteamVR uses (unless I am wrong about that which could be).
