Will Quiet support LAN?
Tor is great of course, but there are many countries that can't connect to tor, such as North Korea
We'll definitely support connecting on local networks someday, yes. So you'd be able to use Quiet on a local network at an office even if the Internet was down or heavily censored.
I have heard that private Tor bridges (that is, bridges set up for you and you alone which are never announced publicly) with transports such as Snowflake are still effective in many contexts. We'd like to support those, too.
Provided there are locally available nodes for bootstrapping, we could enable p2p connectivity over direct connections too.
I don't know how reliable this will be, but it could be very reliable.
