Newsletter headings are not controlled by font selections

Open cathysarisky opened this issue 10 months ago • 3 comments

Issue Summary

The newsletter design settings allow selecting the font for the title and body (serif vs sans-serif). However, the design settings are ignored in formatting the headings within the body of the newsletter, which are uniformly sans-serif (and look sort of weird when everything else is serif).

Expected behavior: Newsletter title font selections should apply to headings within the body of the post also.

Steps to Reproduce

Set newsletter to serif (title and body). Create a newsletter with a built-in heading (h2 or h3, doesn't matter). Send a test newsletter (or preview). Observe that headings are sans serif.

Thanks for the report! I've confirmed the behavior. We override the font-family in a few spots in Koenig and I'm checking to see what options we have.

Thanks @9larsons! Let me know if you want me to hop on this one instead - I've got a client who wants it fixed! :)

FYI - we're actively working on a project that will resolve this issue.

This was resolved with the recent newsletter design settings work https://ghost.org/changelog/newsletter-design/
