First of all, besides the line 002c:err:winediag:WS_getaddrinfo Failed to resolve your host name IP, your log is 100% normal. Furthermore, I just updated the V Rising server (not the container image) and everything runs just fine.

This is without a doubt a connection issue. Run hostname in the container & see what it returns. If it returns zilch or 127.0.0.1 the problem lies between dockerhost & container.

Hi

Thank you for the feedback.

So are you saying that the reason its not working is a result of a loopback IP. If that's the case then the container would have failed with connecting to steam also. But the container connects to steam runs the updates etc. Just fails once the server starts.

Wierd, the other 18 containers I run have no issues with connection.

No stress, I will checkout the hosts file as suggested.

Goundski avatar Jun 17 '22 11:06 Goundski

hostname returns the container name and not the loopback IP.
