Save button spinner unreliable

The save button spinner does not always show. When there are large files uploading, the button shows the spinner briefly then goes back to default state. Is there a way for me to fix this?

@spohlenz this still seems to happen, i'm currently experiencing the same with hit and miss success, It never seems to show saved successfully but actually has saved
