Hi there,

The utility sometimes works, sometimes not...

What's the Service Name? I'd like to set it to the highest priority.

Thanks!

Hi! Thanks for posting this issue!

Could you please specify the OS you're using? If you're using Windows, then bear in mind that Keyboard Switch doesn't run as a Windows service, it runs as a simple background process.

Also, when Keyboard Switch stops working, does it start working again after some time without any action on your part? Or do you need to manually restart it or reboot the system?

I run it on Windows 10 x64, all the updates are installed.
I've tried to stop and re-start it several times - nothing helps. I also increased the Wait time to 1000ms - also doesn't help. But... It works in the Keyboard Switch's Sandbox. It also works in Notepad++. But it doesn't work in:

  • Chrome Browser
  • Firefox Browser
  • Edge Browser
  • MS-Word
  • Notepad
  • many others The defined hot-keys change the keyboard layout, but do not convert the selected text. But... what I found is so that when I disable the Typing Assistant (https://www.sumitsoft.com/), your utility starts working... So... do you have an idea how to make your app and the Typing Assistant to work simultaneously? Honestly, I cannot find another app, which has a similar functionality as the Typing Assistant has (dropping down window with the suggested words). I look forward to your solutions. Thanks!

OK, I'll check out how Typing Assistant may interfere with Keyboard Switch, but no promises on the timeline.
