CAPTCHA on registration

Add a CAPTCHA to the registration form. (maybe as a config (as in config.py) option)

(Maybe also an option to require email validation?)

So Just be annoying? That won't solve anything. If you want to abuse the bot, send faked git pushes

This is a future request which might be wanted by people running their own instances. I personally agree with @jztech101 though, that this is a rather weak protection against spam.

Gonna have to agree with the above, a captcha wouldn't be very helpful.

Email validation, on the other hand, would be loads better.

I don't know if it would be helpful, but option wouldn't hurt and Google's new captcha which is just

  • [ ] I am a human.

isn't that annoying. Email verification again is done everywhere and would probably at least cut spam registrations.
