• [ ] Implement the possibility for chests to contain gold. It can be estimated, that chests should contain about 5 times the average gold that a typical mob in the area drops.

• [ ] Implement the possibility for chests to contain the same item multiple times in one chest drop. It seems, that getting two identical items from one chest was indeed possible in alpha.

Chests should already be giving money since https://github.com/The-Alpha-Project/alpha-core/commit/8d37e46a285f343d5b3906c87e9b28709eba5911

Data comes from Classic sniffs, maybe the chests you checked are just missing the amount of money they drop (either because we miss that data or because they gave money in alpha / beta but not in 1.12)?

Most likely we are just missing data, I doubt we have all chests sniffed, cc @ratkosrb

I checked all Battered Chests yesterday and didn't get a single money drop.

Couldn't recall any instance of looting gold from chests in my "blizzlike" playthroughs, either.

If they indeed have the ability to contain gold, then in my opinion the chance should be increased. There are two separate screemshots showing getting gold from chests on the same day, so it can be estimated that it was qute a common occurance (if not a 100% one)

These are the only chests we have at this moment containing gold (value is in copper).

Chests from 1.12.1 don't contain money, so most likely data from earlier period is still missing.

The point still stands, though. Those chests should containt money.
