Passwords being removed when updating TablesPlus

Please answer the questions below, it helps us to track the issue.

  1. Which TablePlus build number are you using (the number on the welcome screen, Ex: build 81): 188

  2. The steps to reproduce this issue: Update from the previous version to 188


Twice now after updating to the latest TablesPlus version in Windows, all my passwords for my saved connections have been erased.

This happened a few versions back and I had to go through and update all my saved connections. I updated a few times and my passwords were fine, but then it happened again when I just updated.

That is bothering me when I have to fix production issue.

I can't believe that we already buy the license but get that thing.

I just experienced this as well. I probably shouldn't have trusted the app to store these for me but its now happened the past 3 updates. Is this ever going to be fixed?

I could not reproduce the issue but we're trying to address this issue, we've made a build that:

  1. It will show an error whenever it has any internal error: parsing password, parsing connection, parsing settings.
  2. It will not reset the state, and suggest you send the log to TablePlus so we can know the root cause and fix it.

The hot patch will be available tomorrow, we're testing it.

Hi guys if you have a chance, please download this patch: https://www.dropbox.com/s/eqztxlh2bai0lyd/TablePlusUpdate.exe?dl=0 TablePlus now will not delete the file if there are errors. It also has a log file, please send us if you're seeing any issues (the log does not contain any password/connection data, and it will be visible if there are errors).
