Tried to reproduce by interacting with the emulator's text selection popup, but no luck. I compared the stack, and the only "destructive" action I have is "Paste", using that triggers...

`deleteText_internal` is only used in "Cut":  Selecting the the last 3 characters of a 4-letter word and cutting it reproduced the issue.

Repro: 0. Set Highlight matches in Settings 1. Create new item 2. Enter "abcd" 3. Select "cd" 4. Cut

FTS5 is not available in Android, not even in SDK 34. Need to build/bundle (~2MB) SQLite myself or via third party ([example](https://github.com/requery/sqlite-android)) to get support for this.
