[1.2.0] New secured BWAgent deployment feature, PW not encypted in POM file

Hi,

Just wanted to ask if there is an option to encrypt the PW for the new BWAgent security feature added in version 1.2.0? I noticed that the PW is not encrypted in the POM file generated.

This feature is not yet planned/scheduled. Since this is an open source, would you like to contribute on this feature?

i would love to. i'll take a look if I can contribute on this option.

We might not be able to open source BW6 crypto API's. We will have an internal discussion to see how best we can proceed on this request. The current way would be to use the bwobfuscator tool shipped with the product.

We will keep this open for now but change the label to enhancement.

Hi @awagle, I know this is not related to the thread, but I'm actually curious about the BW6 Crypto APIs. Would you be able to point me to some documentation regarding this?

Apologies for the delay in response. The BW6 crypto API's are not public so we cannot really share any details there.
