Per-mode Home button behavior
Description
Just like the Back button has an option to adjust the behavior depending on the mode you're in (empty/widget/search), it would be nice to have the same for the Home button... if that's possible, because I'm not sure if you can "hijack" the Home button behavior.
The issue is that you can press the home button while you are in another app and returning to TBLauncher. It would be confusing imho.
I don't really know what would be confusing. When you press the Home button from another app, TBLauncher allows you to set which mode is shown. For me that's Search mode. From that mode it would be nice to be able to press Home again to go to the Widgets mode (allowing for a "double-click" action, so to speak). When in Widgets mode, pressing the Home button would then get me back to Search mode.
That's what I was thinking, since it would allow for faster access to the Widgets mode (by double-clicking the Home button).
I think most of the gestures and buttons could be added to each of the desktops. It will give much more control to the user to navigate between the desktops and actions. Some examples:
- This will allow to have functionality on the gestures
->and<-inSearch DesktopandEmpty Desktopand disable it inWidgets Desktopto use multiple Widgets screens (otherwise, those gestures interferes with the page navigation). - It will allow to have the
Widgets Desktop Home Buttonto do a specific search likeFrequentorTags Sorted ...and use theSearch Desktop Home Buttonto go back toWidgets DesktoporEmpty Desktop - Navigate toggling the Desktops, but stopping in one of them
- ...
Obviously this would make redundant some actions: Toggle between Search and Widget and Toggle Search, Widget, Empty
