I thought about this, too. Sooner or later I will publish it, but so far I haven't got to it since it costs money, requires some setup and maintenance effort and I don't use Play Store anyway.

it's not necessary after we can see maybe to post on other stores like Samsung, huawei etc...

I just recently went through the process of understanding how to publish an app to Play Store (Tridenta, still under review atm), so I was going to finally publish Dicio to the play store, but then I found out that somebody has already added it without saying anything: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.dicio.dicio_android

I am trying to get in touch with them and understand what they want to do with that play store listing, given that the descriptions are not so well done and I don't know whether they wish to continue maintaining it.

@Stypox, I believe that you should create a new listing and remove that one to ensure that any baggage caused by potential malicious code or intent by the previous lister does not remain, and that you've a good reason to start with entirely new reviews, which you are able to properly manage, rather than start with a backlog.

Yeah, but first I need to get in touch with that person and see if they can hand over the listing to me... I can't just overwrite theirs, unless I open a request for takedown to Google. Technically they are violating the GPLv3, since they are not providing (a link to) the source code anywhere, so I should be able to issue a takedown request, but first I'll try to ask nicely.

Since that person wouldn't answer, I issued a takedown request to Google, and it seems to have worked. That app is not available on play store anymore. Later (after taking an exam) I will see if I can take the org.dicio.dicio_android package or if it is still considered as "taken".

Dicio is now on Play Store under the org.stypox.dicio package! Thanks for the patience
