Desceription When stremio is switched to full screen mode it starts to flicker. It happens only on 144HZ displays, could be caused to old qt/chromium version or some setting that should be turned on(like HW decoding).

Just a note on this, the author of MPV has on multiple occasions blamed Hardware decoding for issues, and its his general opinion that OpenGL is the most stable and highest quality, the only reasons to switch t hardware decoding are performance-related, not for issues.

This doesn't happen only with 144Hz display.

I have Dell Inspiron 5548 which has 1366 x 768 resolution with 60.04 Hz, and I also experience this flicker. when I try to play something. This doesn't happen all the time. But it does happen. To suppress that behavior, I play the video in fullscreen or vice-versa, which stops the flickering of the screen.

His opinion, I have read quite of them, about Wayland and Gnome. I think he needs to move on. The world doesn't revolve around him. MPV is such an important product when it comes to linux/foss/opensource but the way he deal/say things are like, "Oh sh*t, here we go again".

We noticed this particularly on H265 sources, not sure if anyone else noticed the same correlations?

I did open a ticket on MPV but promptly got told this was fixed long ago.

That said I haven't been experiencing this for the last few weeks, so not sure what's the issue.

I still experience an occasional stutter when I run out of RAM, so I think it's just not pre-loading / buffering enough into the future. But this is a seperate issue.
