Amazon has introduced new VPS with flat rate pricing. Worth considering as a new provider?

Amazon Lightsail is absolutely worth considering as a new provider, and I have an instance running there using “existing system” deployment. Lightsail is almost usable as-is, except that opening all the ports is a pain.
Reasoning: Regular AWS gives you 1G outbound free, and after that it’s $0.09 per gigabyte. A Lightsail small plan, currently $5/mon, comes with 1T outbound free, and seems to perform about like a t2.micro instance. Having a known, fixed price wins over games with pre-reserved t2.nano instances hoping to make up bandwidth charges.
Lightsail is a great option, $3.5 a month gets you 1TB of free traffic. Any news?
