Having the same problem. I suspect that frames aren't being dropped. The simulation is slower when doing 1080p than 720p without changing any other parameters.

Backup is smart. Are you describing an automatic backup solution or an automatic mail alert?

Lose instrument tracks or automation tracks? LMMS doesn't support newest MIDI files, but it should load all instruments, I think.
