small typo in the appendix
hello,
first: thanks for the nice book about nim.
there is a small typo in chapter VII in the "ARC/ORC memory management" section:
it says GC_getStatitics() there instead of GC_getStatistics()
Thanks for reporting. But as you might have already noticed, I left the Nim community two years ago and do not intend to touch the book again. The book was written in 2020, with some additions in 2021. Since then, the book has not found much positive resonance -- I think only very few people read it, and only two persons actually bought the online version. Now we have the book of Rumpf, and a dozen other NIm books, which I once listed at https://nimprogramming.com/docs/books/. That should be enough. I think I will remove that book from Internet this years. Perhaps you are interested in my online Rust book, see https://rust-for-c-programmers.com/.
thanks for your answer. i understand that you don't want to spend time on the book anymore if you moved on already and it didn't get the response you were hoping for.
but please consider not removing it from the internet. it might be a valuable resource for people, even if they don't give any feedback. it is for me at least :)
Dear Stefan, your book is indeed very valuable resource for all beginners and not only for "Nimmers". I left the community too and your work is a real masterpiece
