Why the switch from Jekyll back to WP?

I liked the post ca. 2015 about migrating from WP to Jekyll. Now it looks like SO/SE has migrated back to WP. Any plans to write a blog post detailing the switch back? Would be curious to hear reasons and a summary of experience with Jekyll.
