Occasionally send `"PING :" + UUID.randomUUID().toString()` (see [here](docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/api/java/util/UUID.html)) to the server to test if the connection is still alive, and if you get no PONG after ~100 seconds, reconnect.

About 4x faster. Also fixed some Lua 5.0 compat stuff.

PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT. YOU ALSO WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO STOP THE GC FOR THEM.
