How to reproduce

  1. use the .stl in the final "anything else" section of this report
  2. download .STL
  3. load .stl into Orca
  4. slice
  5. load .stl into Cura
  6. slice

Actual results

Orca extends the shaft opening and closing layers to be empty over the extent of the model. I first encountered this same error on the QIDIStudio version of Orca, then reproduced it on brand name ORCA (from the github repo.) Image

Expected results

A slicer output should reflect the absence of any empty layers, as is output by Cura below Image
