Option to prevent tabs containing certain sites from being put in standby mode

It would be nice if there was an option to do that (such as a button/menu option that would add the domain to a list that is configurable via the Settings page).

Not sure exactly what you mean by standby mode. However whenever pinned tabs get implemented they might do that.
