Too Easy to Lose New Entries in Checklist Mode

While adding entries in Checklist mode, touching the screen outside the pop-up list entry window simply closes that window, discarding everything already entered in it.

Please make that list entry window more "robust". Perhaps I can re-open it and find what I'd entered still there, or a dialog could ask me if I really wanted to discard everything before the list entry window is closed, or ...
