Restore not working

I installed WSATools from the MS store and have been able to use the backup function. Its saves files about the size of the WSA storage. But when I do a restore, it does not work. Even if I uninstall WSA and then do the restore. I am using an AMD cpu AMD Ryzen 3 3100 4-Core Processor with 32GB of dual channel ram. I am saving the backup images to an 802GB partition of my primary ssd drive which is 1TB total.

Asking to make sure: after uninstalling WSA, did you reinstall it before doing the restore?
