  • SPFx: 1.15

Describe the bug / error

Even though the issue about the SPFx apps in the meeting stage (SPFx web part does not work in "meetingStage" #7427) reported as solved, the SPFx web parts are still not working in the meeting stage. The error message is still the same.

I have tested the app with a complete new HelloWorld app with SPFx 1.15. To be sure, I have installed the DEV environment completely new, node, gulp-cli, yo and generator.

The we part is working in pre-meeting experience, on the side panel but not in the meeting stage image

@patmill @lucabandMSFT @AJIXuMuK @VesaJuvonen : Could you please check the issue again. It is still not resolved.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a SPFx web part
  2. Deploy web part SharePoint and to the teams with the right manifest to support meeting environments.
  3. Add web part to the meeting, join to the meeting, open app and then open the meeting stange.

Expected behavior

The web part should also work in meeting stage.

@canturan - sorry for the silence. Additional fix has been done and rolling out.

@AJIXuMuK : Is the fix already deployed to all tenants? I am still getting the same error message: Error initializing teams environment: Error: This call is not allowed in the 'meetingStage' context I have updated my Teams client and also tried it after activating developer preview on the Teams client. I'm seeing always the same behavior and getting the same error message.

@canturan - unfortunately, during the roll out we found few problems with the fix. The plan is to address those problems in the next week and start roll out once again.

Sorry for the delay.
