Feature request: fast bar function

Hello, I found having a fast bar function (taking a vector x and making n groups of same frequency) extremely useful when it comes to data munging. One way to see it is xbar Strangely it comes up way more often than say cut (or bin in kdb). Might be of interest as a new adding to fast stats functions.

Thanks, I'll have a look and keep it open, but until end of the year my focus will be research.
