Bug Report: The dropdown icon for select category and select author seems so much odd

Reproduction steps

It is on the home page and i am sure that it looks odd to everyone, look at the drop down icon, just seems a bit off it just simply looks bad, i mean don't you think it should have a little gap atleast

Expected behavior

i am working on to fix it and give it a more standard look
