[Question] Improvements to the UI and it's functionality.
Hello!
Lately I have had some ideas for what I could do to help develop this app, as so far I haven't contributed and I intend to. Knowing this, can anyone point me in the right direction as to where I could improve graphics and things like that? I cannot code for the life of me so my work will sadly be limited to prettying up areas but I'd like to take some of that load off of the devs that are working hard to code the app.
Also, I've had a few ideas. Instead of making a clone of the official app, why don't we give it our own unique twist? I know many would have already had this idea so it's nothing new, however it would be nice to make it feel more our own instead of cloning the app. I have nothing wrong with how it looks now, maybe an option to switch themes? I don't know, but as long as it's not cheating or breaking any rules its okay, right?
If you read all of that, have a gold star.
If you want to make a change, implement it and create a pull request.
The current goal is to make the app look, feel and interact with like the original. There is some stuff we can't add for technical reasons (like buying coins for real money), but apart from that we are aiming for feature parity.
@Seelengrab Anything with coding I cannot do, however can you point in in the right direction as to where I could touch up? I work with a team of designers and would like a challenge. I am currently learning C# and can write a "Hello World" program but nothing like what you gods are doing. (Yes I meant gods)
I was thinking of creating a new player position icon maybe? I cannot run the app as I am using Windows 7 and VS complains about lack of certain libraries that I just cannot install so that's a bummer.
When I open the version 1.0.29 tells me: This version is obsolete "I can how to fix it?
I'm sorry, but we don't have the time to guide you on how to use Visual Studio and develop apps. There's a bunch of tutorials online for you to look up though, I recommend searching for those and following along. If you are unable to install required dependencies, please refer to the relevant developer on how to fix the issue.
@javier97g Read #1725.
@Seelengrab No no I'm used to VS now I was wondering if there was anything you guys wanted doing because at the moment looking through suggestions I can't find much.
