Continues Tunnel Issue

Open BagiIT opened this issue 2 years ago • 6 comments

I dont know if this is inteded behaviour but when i upgrade a road to a tunnel it works just fine, but is the road has 2 or more segments aka. nodes the tunnel breaks as seen in the image. Gmae version is 1.0.15f1 and mod version is 1.3.0 https://imgur.com/a/qVE9bbm

Unfortunately I'm not touching anything related to the rendering engine, what you're seeing is how the engine works and there's not much I can do about it.

Do you have a way to show me what the expected result would be?

So images 1. 2. are my expected resoult so a tunnel flat with the ground through a hill/mountain. And 3 and 4. images are examples of upgrading the road to tunnel modes. I acchived 1,2 images by leveling the terain 10m above the road then went -10 so it starts a tunnel close to flat then connected both sides with -12.5m deep road. I was hoping the Tunnel upgrade would add the terrain around the road as it does but the node doesnt connect and it makes it as an exit and entrance. https://imgur.com/a/GLhUGzG

Yeah, I also noticed this. Upgrading multiple segments to a tunnel does not give the same result as drawing a new multi-segmented tunnel. I don't think that's a rendering issue, somehow there must be a difference between a "tunnel entrance" node and a "tunnel continuation" node.

I initially misunderstood the issue, potentially fixed in #35
